The St. Paul Pioneer Press sold a former printing plant and nine acres of land in St. Paul for $2.85 million.

Stacy, Minn.-based SIGH Properties is the buyer, the Pioneer Press reports, citing a certificate of real estate value filed with the state. The nine acres of land are near Holman Field.

SIGH is planning an industrial use for the plant, which closed last year after the newspaper contracted with the Star Tribune for its printing.

The Star Tribune will also begin printing USA Today.
